Meet Will, with a passion for cars, providing mobility choices for our customers and what led him to join a startup.
What is the one thing that most people don’t know about you?
The first car I owned was a 2001, navy, Mini One with black race stripes, yes at the time I did think that was rather cool! Looking back now perhaps not.
What is your favourite car?
Audi RS3 Sportback Vorsprung
What attracted you to a career at SOGO?
All of my previous roles have involved customer service in a variety of different environments. I like to think that experience has put me in good stead to deal with any situation. The main aim of my previous role was to source fleet opportunities for a manufacturer, however I liked the idea of working with multiple brands which is why flexi leasing appealed to me. To put it simply, the business model. I took the interview with SOGO with no real aspiration to leave my previous role, however once I sat down with our Managing Director Karl Howkins and Sales Director Lee O'Connell and they showed me what they believed SOGO would become I knew I wanted to be apart of the journey. I had some friends and family calling me mad for joining a new business start up during a pandemic but I'm glad I took that risk and I don't plan on looking back.
What are your career aspirations at SOGO?
To continue to help SOGO grow as a business whilst also making a name for myself within the automotive industry just as many of my colleagues already have.
What do you find engaging in your role at SOGO?
Everyday poses new tasks/challenges which keeps me on my toes, I've been at SOGO now just over a year and I can honestly say no day is the same.
What is the most enjoyable aspect of working at SOGO?
It would definitely have to be the great people I work with, we have a great team here at SOGO all willing to work hard for each other.
